Pricing Information

Deposit

$50

A deposit is required to choose/hold a baby under eight (8) weeks old. A baby will considered "available" until a deposit is paid. A deposit does count toward the final price of a baby.

Priority Wait List Deposit grants a list spot to choose a baby hedgehog in the next available litter. Baby choice follows the order in which deposits are received.

All deposits are non-refundable. Additional terms and conditions apply.

Baby Hedgehog

$300 (average)

Our baby's average price may increase or decrease depending on: color/markings; gender; personality; and/or temperament. We do our best to estimate final price as early as possible.

Adult Hedgehog

$100 (approx.)

Adult hedgehogs vary significantly in price.

When placing an adult, the hedgehog's health and happiness are the most important factors. We also consider the hedgehog's needs, age, personality and temperament very highly as well.

Due to the individuality of adult placement, pricing is general.

I only bred my females when they have had a significant rest period between litters and only a couple times. If you see a soon a mom and would like one of her babies, you are encouraged to contact us to reserve a future baby. Most of our baby hedgehogs are reserved in advance and are not posted as available.

Available Adults

I currently do not have adults available. I will evaluate adults for adoption in January 2024. As adult personalities and age can vary, we ask that anyone wishing to adopt an adult meet the hedgehog prior to making a decision on whether to adopt. We will do our best to estimate the experience level required for an adult and will ask questions to assist with this estimate for placement. Hedgehog health and happiness always comes first at Sugar and Spice Hedgies. Our hedgehogs are all very much loved and retired from breeding young so they may enjoy a pet quality life. Former breeding hedgehogs may be available for adoption if it is in the best interest of the hedgehog and will ensure they have a leisurely pet life. When available, adults are priced based on temperament and placed in homes based entirely on the right fit. Absolutely no adult will be placed in a home that is not conducive to a healthy and happy retirement for them where they can have their "own person" to play and cuddle with. Enclosures and equipment that has been used by an adult may be available at a reduced cost to go home with the hedgehog.
